Number Survey Lines is used to automatically assign numbers to a survey line plan. The command is used by drawing a chord across the lines to be numbered and entering the required value of the first line. The command then numbers sequentially any lines that cross the specified chord. The Z coordinates of the lines are set to the appropriate Line number, so that the Label Contours - Automatic command can be used to add Line numbers as text labels on either end of the lines. The command also reports the total length of lines included in the line plan as well as the last line number used.
